The most useful LSMW-related snippets for data conversion and migration have been knit together in a User-Defined Routines LSMW object called DC_TOOLS and provided here for free.

Revision History

Many of these snippets date back to 2003 when we started, but the first official release is from September on 2016. There was an older version released unofficially as an inclusion to a report to generate long texts in 2014.

  • 1.0 September 2016 -- The fist official revision to be released.
  • 2.0 Forgotten date -- Cleaned up some issues and included additional functions.
  • 3.0 April 2019 -- Bundled all of the most useful LSMW objects with DC_TOOLS. Corrected issue that caused Excel to present too few columns.

Jimbo's LSMW Toolbox can be downloaded from the link below. Be sure to import this as a new LSMW project and then copy DC_TOOLS to an existing LSMW project; that is much easier than having to restore from backups.

After importing Jimbo's LSMW Toolbox, go to Administration and copy the user routine to the LSMW Project where it will do the most good. There is no way to see the user routine in the SAPLSMW project without creating a dummy Subproject and then a dummy Object, so it is recommended to copy to the active Project.
